May 30: Selling my artwork at Ghirardelli Square

 www.artinthesquaresf.com

I was recently invited by a fabulous stranger to ‘Ghirardelli’s next “Art in the Square,” an outdoor art walk where San Francisco locals will be selling their own independent crafts, wares, and masterpieces! Notified to submit my work for curation, in order to be included in the all weekend affair, I was approved and authorized to pick up my paintings and chose to set up shop for Sunday’s  (May 30) festivities from 11:00 AM- 6:00 PM!

This going to be my first actual concession-are experience and though I’ve successfully sold a brag-worthy amount of paintings to customers all over the nation,  I have never EVER sold my artwork face-to-face with actual consumers before. So… I am both nervous, excited, and completely unaware of what is going to partake this coming lovely Sunday. But as with everything that I’ve been shitzu-scared to do, I’ll get through it in one piece and good or bad, I’ll make sure to have some kind of memorable fun while I’m at it. :)

I’ve never had the desire to make being an artist as my career, but since my hubby pushed me to do so in 2007  it has taken off to a pretty unexpected level.  And just to make things clear, I love to paint and I love my work as a painter, but my priority as an artist isn’t to make bank… It’s to inspire others to follow their own dreams.

“As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates other.” – Nelson Mandella

Below are some finished pieces that will be for sale at the square. I’ll be creating a boat load of new ones, too! Stay tuned, darlings:

Hope to see you there!

Hearts,

Mira
