Fabulous Find: DVF Morinne Cotton-twill Cape
I love summer. It’s the skin-baring season to sport sensational dresses and sexy strappy sandals, in fact if I had to choose one way of weather that would last all year long, I’d definitely choose a sunshine-spoiled day mixed in with a cool summer breeze. But I have to admit, when I saw Diane Von Furstenberg’s Morinne Cotton-twill Cape, I couldn’t help but get excited about the crispy, clean cold of fall…and how much I wanted to add this beautiful find to my list of must-have fall fashions. The Morinne Cape makes transforming into an instantly chic lady take less than a mere nano-second. So elegantly retro-inspired and modish, Diane von Furstenberg’s bamboo cotton-twill cape is the perfect outerwear to layer over pretty much everything. Pair it with a playful pair of pumps or your go-to fall boots. Rain or shine, signature sexy and sophisticated style will be at your beckon call all year long. And with a coat with stylish, there’s no excuse to transition through the season’s with being anything less than extraordinary.
Super Cute Summer Sandals Under $50
One of my favorite things about summer is the shoes! Summer shoes are every perfect excuse to get a well-deserved pampering pedicure and flaunt those amazingly lovely legs of ours. Despite the fact that our strappy, wedged, and platform favorites are stored away for a good portion of the year, while the heat is in hiding, the short-lived amount of summer’s three months is no reason to not indulge in the most adorable and inviting new choices of sunshine-ready footwear. True story: I actually save every giftcard I get from my birthday (which is in October) to buy the sutest, fliertiest, and sexiest heels in the Spring/Summer. A cute shoe helps me to embrace all the inner-girliness I have and there’s no greater pleasure than picking the perfect, head-turning footwear. And it’s time! So pull out your skirts, shorts, and dresses and make wearing your favorite free-form frocks worth every second. Whether you want to go all out in sky-high stilettos or care-free and casual in comfy flats, buying a new pair of summer ready slip-ons will have you shoe-shopping and skirt-wearing in no time…and all under $50! Shown above: Journee Collection Women’s Strappy Sandal, Apt. 9 Augusta Dress Sandals, and Women’s Mossimo Paz Strappy Heeled Sandals.
Cover up with a Classic Cargo Jacket
An essential piece for anyone’s wardrobe is the classic army green cargo jacket. For those of us in cities like San Francisco, where the weather is unpredictable even in the summer, a cargo jacket makes the perfect cover up for lightweight summer dresses, tops, and shorts. Plus, the neutral color of army green gives the right splash of masculine cool which no denim jacket or pashmina can compare to. It’s also an amazing transition piece, pairing effortlessly from skirts to skinny jeans when the weather begins to cool down for autumn. This season, they’re switching up the classic with a few new embellishments to add a little vigor to the military-inspired staple. Here are three super fun fits for anyone that wants to add a little bit of army freshness to to their flirty and fall-ready frocks: Harlow Army Cargo Jacket, Gap Womens Army Cargo jacket, and the Stem Cargo jacket.

This March, Claire’s is coming out with something incredible for music lovers of all ages! They have created “LYRIX,” a collection of interlocking bangles and rings with famous lyrics from favorite bands like the Beatles.Song phrases are etched into pieces of silver to update any look for an added inspirational and eclectic take on casual day-to-day jewelry wear. New in Beauty: Urban Decay’s The Black Palette
It seems that Urban Decay is determined to bring back the dark gothic-edge it was once famous for in the 90′s. The latest palette to hit their website (and my inbox) is The Black Palette. A simple sized combination that brings together six new dark and deep colors that are reminiscent of hard metal bands and famous 80′s rock bands of yester-decades.
The list goes on with 6 eyeshadows, a travel size liner, and a mini eye potion primer:
Black Dog (richest matte black)
Barracuda (black with silver sparkly shift)
Jet (black with purple sparkly shift)
Sabbath (black with blue sparkly shift)
Cobra (black with golden sparkly shift)
Libertine (black with emerald sparkly shift).
and a Travel-size 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil: Zero (black) – Which is a multiple makeup award winner that I LOVE!
Travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion: Eden (matte nude)
Your inner Runaways, Pat Benatar, David Bowie, and err…Taylor Momsen? is calling you.
