Face Value: The Look at Chillin’ productions

For the Chillin’s 12th Anniversary, I didn’t want a crazy makeup or artsy face. I wanted something simple, since after all, my dress was freaking electric blue and brown leather printed. I did a basic makeup application with a swipe of shadow and blush. Nothing too technical or overboard. To keep it natural and stress-free, I ditched the foundation, (just concealer) used  cruelty-free products, and a bunch of my favorite makeup bag staples:

Concealer: MAC Moisture Cover in NW25

Eyes: E.L.F. Mineral Eyeshadow in Confidence

Lips: MAC lipglass in Please Me

Blush: MAC Sheertone Shimmer blush in Sunbasque

Bronzer: MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Deep Dark

It’s an uber easy look, fit for any level of makeup expertise.

Enjoy!

Event: Chillin’ Productions 12th Anniversary at The Mezzanine

The night was fantastic. I am always pretty nervous when it comes to showing my artwork in public, so I made sure to make myself  a few glasses of Sangria before I walked into the the May 1 show. My anxiety was cured with a couple more tequila sunrises and, as you can see with my exceedingly large, happy drunk smile in the picture below,  a few hours into the night, I was good as golden.

On top of featuring my own work at The Mez, I was also a muse for the night, collaborating with the amazing graphic artist, Vixen Veronika. In the picture above, she was able to photograph me alongside her other digital muse creations Becca and Liz.

It’s always an honor to be involved in Chillin’ Productions. Irene, who is founder and curates the one night event, is amazing and is doing absolute wonders for the Bay Area artist community. Thank you to all the amazing people that came out to  show support and special props to the artists who I have been oh-so lucky to encounter.

Cheers to art, love, and life passion!

P.S. Caviar taste on a fish stick budget: I wore the most adorable dress! Since budget is tight, I got it on clearance at Forever 21 for $14.99. …I felt like a million bucks. :)

P.P.S. In case you were wondering, my work  will be up for auction at a special price on Ebay. Link to come soon…
