What I’m doing tonight: Macy’s Glamorama 2011
Tonight I will be here, swooning over Bruno Mars and delighting in the many buffet’s of eye-candy and fashion-phine drug brands. In two hours, Macy’s Passport presents the much anticipated Glamorama fashion show—themed ARTrageous—bringing fall fashion from featured designers including Armani Jeans, Bar III, Calvin Klein, Papi, Rachel Rachel Roy,Tommy Girl, Kenneth Cole and Tracy Reese. Additionally. Thet will also have an honoree to present a special tribute celebrating the life and work of Passport’s Founding Chair, the legendary actress and AIDS activist, Dame Elizabeth Taylor. On top of this year’s event benefiting the AIDS Emergency Fund, Glide Foundation and Project Open Hand, incredible music will be performed by the swoon-worthy Bruno Mars and Far East Movement. I cannot wait! I’ll be clad in sparkles…gold shoes, gold nails! Woot!
30 Day Challenge: Your Family
Instead of going on about the details of my crazy yet awesome family, I’m just gonna post up three of my favorite pictures. I know, these might be totally affectionate/super mushy pics since I’m practically gluing my lips onto these guys…But I love these people and I don’t care.

30 Day Challenge: How Important You Think Education Is
Education is very important. Knowing is half the battle. Knowledge is power. All those damn cliches…It’s true. Find out about everything and anything and don’t just believe anything anyone will tell you. I hate it when people just regurgitate stuff that they’ve heard from someone else and then try to pass it off as facts when they haven’t even done the proper research. Educate yourself. Stay open-minded. Create your own conclusions.
StyleSays: Social Shopping and an awesome Yotam Solomon Giveaway
I don’t know about you but lately my facebook messages have been bombarded with shopping conversation extravaganzas. From planning what to wear for the next meet-up, the end of the month’s Macy’s Passport/Glamorama, and of course Halloween, me and the girl’s are talking about what to wear, coordinating themes, and giving eachother a million suggestions… and I love it because who doesn’t love talking shopping with the girls? Now, facebook is fabulous, fine, and dandy with staying connected with friends whether it’s streets, cities, or countries that divide but I have to admit, the conversations about shopping in my message inbox can get a bit, err…complicated. Links disappear, images get funky, and it’s easy to miss communicate thoughts as typing, the “enter” button, and autocorrect, continuously ensue and create posting pandemonium. This is why when I heard about StyleSays, I was quite intrigued.
Aside from instantly connecting you to all of your friends already via facebook (whether they have a StyleSays account or not) the “social shopping experience” automatically populates the pictures and links for you, recommends personalized products, helps you build a personal collection, saves all of your conversations, and also informs you where to buy the product. A million stores are already on the site, ready for you to follow, so finding out the latest at Forever 21, Anthropology, Urban Outfitters and many more is easy! But my favorite features on StyleSays are that the website also notifies you when a product you’ve saved goes on sale and there’s a clever and easy to install “Say it!” button – which lets you save all of your online finds with no trouble at all. Just drag and drop it onto your browser. An extra unique feature is that Stylesays even helps their users combine collections with friends in order to receive free shipping from certain stores. They’ll also will be creating an app by the end of the year, which will bring shopping and social networking to an even more mind blowing level, making it possible to chat and shop with your favorite friends anywhere and everywhere you go! Check them out here: http://www.stylesays.com and follow their tumblr here: http://stylesays.tumblr.com
Right now, they’re doing a Yotam Solomon Giveaway.
StyleSays is giving away a pair of signed Yotam Solomon shoes, tomorrow, on Thursday the 22nd. To enter just invite 3 friends to StyleSays and comment
on any of the shoes in this Facebook album telling StyleSays what the LA-based designer’s shoes say to you.

30 Day Challenge: What You Ate Today
I picked a horrible (absolutely horrible) day to do this part of the challenge. I woke up starving… STARVING! (Had a beer tasting last night. Beer turns me into a heffer…) So, right before I went for my run, I did a very very bad thing and stopped by *an undisclosed part of the city* to eat something. I was ravenously munching, sitting on the sidewalk, in running gear and all. It’s the perfect example of irony…Kids, this is not a healthy diet.
Breakfast: Chili Dog and Vitamin Water
Lunch: Chai Tea Latte and Iced Black Tea
Dinner: Chicken Katsu and Thai Tea
Uh… Yah. This was breakfast.(Pictured below) …I’m a terrible person.
Update Your Wardrobe For Fall with These Five Pieces
Now that we’re approaching the tail end of summer, I’m here to let you know that you don’t need to head into a store this fall in order to stylishly gear up for the upcoming colder months. A few key pieces is all you need to be polished and prepared, sensibly mixing and matching with what’s already in your closet:
A Cape: There’s a billions ways to wear a cape. Layer it over your favorite turtleneck, cinch it in with a beautiful belt, or leave it open for an ultra-cool vibe.
A Fedora: Never mind the beanies and sock hats, a fedora will keep your head toasty and trendy. Pick it in wool for serious warmth.
A Cable Knit Sweater: A cable knit sweater is multi-tasking hard this season. It’s even trendy enough to layer over your favorite cocktail attire.
A Below-the-Knee, A-line Skirt: Move over maxi dress, there’s a new revamp this time around. The below-the-knee A-line skirt is headed in strong on the trend list for fall. Tights and turtlenecks will get a new look that’s not just for teachers anymore.
Ankle Socks: A great way to stretch the use and wear your favorite booties when it’s cold out is a nice pair of ankle socks to wear alone, (weather willing) over your favorite tights, and tucked into your favorite booties.
30 Day Challenge: Five Pet Peeves
These things will make me flip the f**k out:
1. Nails. Like fingers and toes. Especially extremely dirty ones and getting scratched by them. It’s like a weird germ thing.
2. Getting rudely woken up. Like yelling or jumping on the bed. I will want to punch you. I probably won’t but I’ll want to.
3. Strangers touching me for no reason. Even like a simple hand on the leg and even if we’re related by blood, I have an invisible force-field that I only let people that I warmly know in.
4. Involuntary and repetitive showing of (non)goodies in booty shorts, skirts, low-rise jeans, and tights. No one wants to see your ass cheeks, vag, lumpy undies, or butt crack . No one.
5. People that leave their garbage behind after eating or whatever. It’s gross and bad for the environment. And no one wants to clean up after your lazy ass.
